Getting to Glasgow

Roofscape 2

Our wedding will be held at Stonefield Castle, near Tarbert on Loch Fyne. This is approximately a 2 hour drive from Glasgow, so we have booked a coach shuttle to take all of our guests from Glasgow to Tarbert.

Please note – as the airlines have not yet announced their confirmed schedules for Summer 2015, we will be updating this information over the coming months. We will contact you in due course, when confirmed travel information is available.

Getting to Glasgow by air:

Glasgow International Airport has direct flight connections to all major European hubs, plus North America and the Middle East. If you are organising your own way to Tarbert, you can get to Glasgow city centre using the official Glasgow Shuttle. Alternatively, taxis to the West End of Glasgow cost approximately £20.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is the city's second airport and has many budget flights, including via Ryanair. For bus and coach services between Glasgow city centre and the airport, click here.

Getting to Glasgow by train:

Intercity links to all major cities. Frequent services to Edinburgh (50 minutes) and London (4-5 hours). There are two city-centre terminals, Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central (served by Buchanan St and St Enoch subway stations respectively). Most trains from London arrive at Glasgow Central.

Timetables can be found at www.travelinescotland.com.

Getting to Glasgow by coach:

Buchanan Bus Station is the main terminus for long distance coaches. Timetables can be found at www.travelinescotland.com.
